Faculty
The educator session will enable the faculty to apply evidence-based practice in pharmacology as it relates to care of the patient across the lifespan. Barb will discuss the general principles of pharmacology followed by a discussion of the most common classes of pharmacological agents. She will correlate the classes of drugs with the treatment of common clinical conditions. She will also discuss associated lab values as necessary and important food and drug interactions. Alternative therapies will be included when appropriate.
Students
The nursing student sessions will enable the learner to apply evidence-based practice in nursing as it relates to care of the patient across the lifespan. NCLEX® experts will present sessions on Fluid Volume deficit, NCLEX® 101 Plus: Hurst Review’s Clinical Judgment Approach for NCLEX® Success, Pharmacology, and prioritizing care for the cardiac patient, These sessions will enable to learner to learn core content to pass the NCLEX® and foster clinical judgment as a new nurse.
