Session 1 – Taking Control of the Classroom by Letting Go
Do you struggle with “normal” classroom and teaching concepts? Are you encountering incivility (from faculty as well as students), do students have concerns about “teaching themselves” with active learning? Can you find a balance between “lecture” and active learning? Join us for this live webinar that provides you with strategies for teaching/learning success!
Session 2 – Effective Assessment: The Power of Rubrics
Rubrics are a critical part of assessment and evaluation. However, the development of a solid, reliable, and valid rubric can be challenging. This webinar will clarify using rubrics as an effective assessment tool. Participants will be able to relate the elements of a rubric that aligns with assessing student performance to meet the assignment objectives/outcomes and rubric used to assess and enhance student performance.
Session 3 – Breaking INTO Escape Rooms
Escape rooms are popular in nursing education, yet many are self-created so there is a vast group of educators who do not yet know how to do this. This webinar will help bridge that gap in knowledge by discussion of the benefits, construction of an escape room, and use with students to promote clinical judgment.
