This one-day seminar provides an up-to the minute overview and update on inflammation and immunity. Barb will discuss the three major principles of the immune system and correlate the innate immune response with the adaptive immune response. You’ll hear all about neutrophils, B lymphocytes, T lymphocytes, antibodies and cytokines. The “cytokine storm” observed in severely ill COVID-19 patients will be discussed. Vaccines, monoclonal antibodies, anti-inflammatory drugs will all be correlated with a myriad of infectious diseases and autoimmune diseases.
