April 7-8
This comprehensive nursing education conference offers a robust agenda tailored to educators seeking innovative strategies and tools to enhance their teaching practices and address current challenges in nursing education. The day begins with Dr. Jacquelyn McMillian-Bohler’s keynote on preparing successful nursing faculty, followed by dynamic breakout sessions covering transformative topics such as the integration of artificial intelligence, the AACN Essentials, and the development of professional identity in nursing. Attendees can choose from sessions on mini-simulations for competency-based education, combating “infobesity,” effective item writing, and fostering clinical judgment through concept maps and active learning. Special highlights include updates on the NCLEX® exam by Steven Viger and discussions on radical reforms, concept-based teaching, and addressing incivility in nursing education. The conference also explores self-care strategies like yoga as a complementary healthcare approach. With engaging exhibits, poster sessions, and expert-led discussions, this event equips nursing educators with practical, evidence-based approaches to transform learning environments and improve student outcomes.
